Euphoria Hotel

I went back and forth between three and four stars, and landed on three. I'd stayed at Union house (Yongle) for several weeks and months spread over a year, then decided to try this new hotel, which had only been open about two or three months. The staff are friendly, the location is good, parking was always available, and it wasn't crowded. The buffet was acceptable, and everything, including the equipment and interior, was brand new. There was no carpet in the room, and it had a balcony. The big issue is noise. Sound insulation is almost nonexistent: I could clearly hear a neighbor in another room unlocking a door, and the neighbors' showers made loud pipe noise inside the wall. Sensitive sleepers will need earplugs. The open shower also leaves the small bathroom wet and messy. There's only one elevator, the beds are short at 190 cm, and laundry takes two days, though there are washing machines on the first floor.
