I spent 3 days and 2 nights here and had a great stay. The front desk kindly gave me utensils for my takeaway food when I asked. It was a small, thoughtful gesture, and they didn't ask me for a review or expect anything back. Their warm, considerate service made me feel welcome. Highly recommend!

The location is a bit out of the way, about a 15 minute walk from the nearest MRT station, and you can hear traffic at night, though it wasn't too bad. There's no breakfast, but delivery can be ordered any time and there are plenty of food options nearby. Parking was plentiful on weekdays. For the price, it's hard to beat. The room was clean and had everything I needed, including a hot shower. Self check-in and check-out at the kiosk meant I could come and go without help from the front desk, though the staff were friendly and helpful when needed. It was a good place to stay for the night, especially compared with more expensive places.

The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms and soaking tubs, but the water pressure above floor 7 wasn't great. The bathrooms were dirty, with stains in the sink and tub that looked like they'd been there for months. Housekeeping missed used mugs I left in the morning and didn't empty the trash. There's a mini fridge, coffee and tea facilities, and bottled water, but no bathroom vanity packs. The building feels run down. The lobby was very uninviting, with old chairs, ugly tables covered in cheap polyester cloth, louvre shades, and harsh white lights. Reception looked unwelcoming, and the staff were cold and not very friendly. Two elevators serve all 11 floors, so getting down from above floor 7 was slow. The common hallway was drab, with uneven carpet that could make you fall. I booked in September of 2025 and wasn't told renovations were underway. Workers banged in the morning, and I had to ask them to stop because I was working. They stopped for a while. I booked a city view, but instead the windows looked directly into 3 residential apartments. My room also faced the main street. The windows aren't soundproof, so noise woke me often, and I could hear conversations and footsteps through the floor and walls. The city view listing felt like false advertising. I won't return.

We usually stay around Neihu near our friend's place when visiting Taiwan, but everything was booked because of the TWICE concert, so we reluctantly chose Check Inn Select Neihu. At first it looked like the photos, modern and clean, and we had no complaints. That changed when we found water leaking from the toilet and the shower looked off. I initially thought it hadn't been cleaned, so I asked the front desk. They offered to move us, which we appreciated. We looked at several rooms, and every one had the same issue. The staff member was very kind and seemed genuinely stressed trying to find us a room without it. The bathrooms were covered in mold, including the shower ceilings. We travel a lot and live in Korea, so we're not bothered by minor wear, but this was on another level. It looked like poor sealing or ventilation after a cheap renovation. The only room without significant mold was on the top floor, which makes sense since no bathroom above it could leak or trap moisture. This seems like a structural or renovation problem, not a cleaning issue. If you care about hygiene or your health, I'd strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The service was great, and the room was clean and comfortable. It had most facilities, though no toothbrushes or toothpaste. The main drawback is that it's quite far from the MRT station. Overall, very good.
