A walk in the mist

The owner was welcoming, and the room felt cozy. It was clean and roomy enough for a family with kids. The shower had strong pressure and warmed up fast. I'd happily stay here again. 👍

The food was a highlight, especially the bread, chicken thighs, and salad. The owner and his wife made breakfast themselves, and you can tell they put care into it. The first floor has plenty of little tables, with room for both kids and adults. Our room wasn't large, but it was comfortable, warm, and pleasantly scented. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot. The owner was very welcoming and shared useful tips, including where parking is allowed beside Monster Village from 5 pm to 11 pm. There was only one FamilyMart nearby, and he also suggested some good places to eat. It's around an 8-minute walk to Monster Village. We had small children with us and took it slowly, but the mountain air made the walk enjoyable. Really recommend this place.

There are only a few rooms here, and the cost reflects that. Parking is available, and the rooms are clean, with good insulation. They provide basic toothbrushes, toothpaste, towels, and disposable bath towels. Breakfast tastes good and should suit adults. Expect about an 8-minute uphill walk to Monster Village or Xitou Nature Education Park.

We rented the whole building, which gave us plenty of freedom to use the space. The basement has a kitchen, karaoke room, and mahjong table, so we had a good time singing and hanging out. Using the kitchen did feel restrictive: there was a 3000 yuan deposit, everything had to be put back as it was, and recycling needed to be done properly. The rooms were the best part for us, clean and comfortable, and everyone was satisfied with them. Each has its own style, with an artistic, refined feel. The surrounding area was quiet, and the management was attentive. Breakfast was delivered by the owner from a nearby breakfast shop, which was handy, though the food was average. The egg pancakes were plain and mainly filling. We appreciated the stay over Chinese New Year. The owner's manner was rather indifferent, though, not grumpy, just not especially welcoming.
