A nice, clean room.

I struggled to get a comfortable shower. The hot water took more than 30 seconds to come through and was scalding, but even a small adjustment made it go cold again. In the cold weather, that was really unpleasant, and the heater may be old. The bathroom also had a wet toilet paper roll and a crooked toilet seat. The room looked cozy, but the sheets and comforter made my skin itch. The towels were old, grayish, thin, and some had frayed edges. The mini-fridge was noisy enough that I switched it off before bed, so I never found out whether it cooled properly. The windows let in constant traffic noise, and I had a hard time falling asleep without earplugs. Breakfast is available if you order when checking in, then you pick it up from a bamboo basket in the lobby the next morning. The roads nearby are narrow and winding, so driving takes care. There are other guesthouses and homes around. The shared lot is a bit of a walk away, and street parking is usually full, though you may get lucky and find a closer spot. The lobby has sofas, a coffee machine, a large shared fridge, and a toilet, and slippers are provided. Shampoo and shower gel are in the bathroom. I also read earlier negative reviews and saw the landlord giving what looked like standard replies, without much sign that the problems had actually been fixed.

The room looked lovely and was great for photos (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧, but there was quite a bit of dust in the corners. The bathroom towel had obvious red, purple, and blue spots, along with big brown patches that stood out on the white fabric. The fridge barely cooled anything, and any cooling seemed to fade quickly.
