The setting is a big plus: the hotel is in a great spot and you can see the sea from anywhere. The facilities and decor are new and comfortable. There were a few things that bothered me. The fridge is shared, and someone took the dried fish I’d brought back from Qimei. I was shocked 🙄. There are no cameras in the public areas, so there wasn’t anything they could do. If you need fridge space, keep that in mind. We stayed more than two nights and the room wasn’t cleaned separately during that time. On the second night I noticed lots of ants in the bathroom and worried they might get onto the bed. I told housekeeping the next morning, and they took care of it. I didn’t see any ants again that night, but the first sight of them had already put me off. The hotel works with a motorcycle rental company, but there’s no airport pickup. They take your luggage to the hotel and you to the rental company separately. The return worked the same way, and the whole arrangement felt odd and left me a little unsure the bags would arrive. We were two people in a four-person room, and there wasn’t a real table to eat at, just a small cabinet. The room itself was spacious and had a virtual tent and a swing, but somehow no table. There was only one round mirror in the bathroom, with no full-length or other mirrors, which made getting ready and doing makeup in the morning inconvenient.

The sea view was beautiful, and the place felt tucked away in a quiet corner of the island. It’s still only about a ten-minute motorbike ride to the city center. The front desk staff were friendly. It’s a very new guesthouse with a simple, comfortable industrial look, exposed concrete, and elegant touches. The room lighting was especially well designed. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I really liked the place and recommend it!

With the room facing west, we got ocean views and sunsets every day. The place sits away from the city center, with nothing tall blocking the view, so it felt quiet and removed from the crowds. 🥵🥵🥵

The location was manageable, around a 10-minute drive from the city center, but the room had several serious problems. The bathroom had no separate shower space or exhaust fan, so the whole floor stayed wet after a shower. The internet was listed as available, but it didn't work at all, and I used mobile data for several nights. There was no room mirror or bathroom hook for clothes, and when I asked the owner for visitor information or suggestions, they coldly said they didn't provide that service. Cleaning was poor too, with empty bottles from earlier guests still under the bed. It seemed to be a new building, and the cement hadn't dried; there was a strong radon-like smell in the room, and even the drinking water had the same odor. The basic air and water quality were inadequate, so I can only give it a barely passing 1 point.
