Fushin Hotel Taipei

Very convenient hotel with great amenities and world class service. I highly recommend it.

Breakfast was a highlight, with both local and Western options and three time slots to choose from. We parked at the hotel without any trouble. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the shower was good. We arrived after midnight and left in the morning, so we didn’t get much of a chance to experience the hotel. One small annoyance: there were no outlets on either side of the double bed.

A stranger got into the room we were occupying with a working key card. There were three women inside, and he kept trying to push his way in even after we shouted for him to stop. It left us feeling completely unsafe. When we asked to speak with a manager, none was on site, despite our repeated requests. They sent a part-time staff member who seemed unsure what to do. We also called the front desk, but got no reassurance or help, and there was no apology or action afterward. The lack of empathy and professionalism was appalling. This was a serious failure in guest safety, and we're still shaken. As of this writing, Fushin Hotel has done nothing to make it right. If privacy and security matter to you, I'd look elsewhere. Five-star hotel?

The first time I stayed here was great, but this visit was a very different experience. Check-in service was terrible. The staff member was friendly to the customers before and after us, so I don't know why she was so grumpy with us. I can only assume it was because we weren't regulars or foreigners. We asked for an extra pillow and slippers, which they said would take 20 minutes. It ended up being 30, which was okay. The next day, though, we waited more than 20 minutes for toilet paper. My son was on the toilet, and in the end we told him to use a tissue because it never arrived. On our last day, nobody had told us parking wasn't guaranteed. When I asked, they just said it was full and parking was never guaranteed anyway. I really hated that attitude.
