For a small town like Rui Fung, it was a real treat to find such a comfortable place. The facilities were good, and breakfast was at the nearby Oriental Beauty caffee.

With the train and bus stations close by, it's easy to get around to Keelung, Shifen, Jinguashi, and Fulong. Food is plentiful and affordable too, so it works well for cyclists, backpackers, or a short trip.

I chose this place for one night in February 2024 so I could catch an early train from Ruifang Station across the street. The location is incredibly convenient, with the station right there, plus a food street, 7-Eleven, and Baoya Plaza nearby. Still, it didn't feel like a hotel, just a small, windowless suite in an old apartment building. The humidity was strangely high, and the dehumidifier had to run all night. It was so loud, and its water tank was full by midnight. Going out for hot water in the dark, windowless shared area made me really uncomfortable and a bit creeped out. I'm a Christian and have traveled to 36 countries, but I've never had thoughts like that when staying in hotels. Then, just as I was about to shower that night, a policeman unexpectedly knocked to check my passport. The woman who gave me the key was polite and courteous, but the room felt very strange. I slept terribly for my only night there and woke up with a splitting headache the next day.
