Our family of 6 stayed for one night in early december 2025, using 3 rooms. Hope and her team looked after us at check-in, and their warmth and service really impressed us. They arranged 2 rooms on the same floor and upgraded the other room, 808. It made a handy base for Banqiao: Fu De market is a 10-minute walk northwest, Banqiao Nanya night market is 9 minutes southwest, and New Taipei City Government Civic Plaza, where the ChristmasLand event was mainly located, is about 15 minutes northeast on foot. The rooms were spacious, with 180 deg panoramic street views, and fit 4x XL luggage. The walk-in shower had twin jet rainshower and handheld options, with good control over water temperature, pressure, and flow. There was a warm seating electric bidet in the toilet, a pedal bicycle in the room, and AC and light remotes beside the bed. Each floor had a water dispenser with hot, cold, and warm water. Breakfast was above average, especially the quality cheese spread. Our request for extra pillows was noted and fulfilled, and soft drinks and snacks were complimentary in the room. A couple of things were less convenient: the closet hangers were fixed in place, and the glass windows became see-through at night. Some buildings kept their bright facade lights on late, but the curtains helped. The rooms felt rather dated, though they were clean and hygienic enough. The staff worked hard into the late evening, with someone still opening the main entrance door for us after 8pm, at a 5-star standard. Highly recommend it as a starting point for a Taiwan journey from Banqiao.

A huge thank you to Grand Forward Hotel for such a thoughtful surprise. I'm overseas, but I mentioned that my nephew was coming up for a competition, and the team went above and beyond. They left a card with kind words and some cookies, which made my family so happy and comfortable. I'm really grateful to the front desk and customer service staff at Grand Forward Hotel. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Taipei! ❤️

The staff at Grand Forward Hotel are warm, attentive, and professional, making it a reliable choice for travelers. It's right by Fuzhong Station in Banqiao, with shopping areas and night markets just steps away. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well equipped. In keeping with the eco-friendly policy, there's a water dispenser on every floor instead of bottled water. Breakfast was delicious and nicely varied, well worth trying.

The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, and the service was good. It's an excellent location, just 2 minutes from the underground and Family Mart, with lots of restaurants nearby. I stayed for a bit more than a week and would certainly stay again. The lobby felt very small and cramped, though, and the hotel isn't new.

We arrived before 1pm, even though official check-in time is 3pm. David told us we could wait in the hotel lounge, where there was free coffee or ice lemon tea and a snack bar, so we did. We saw 2-3 other groups waiting there get asked to check in around 1pm. I then told the lady at the front desk we were waiting too and asked her to let us know if a room became available early. I said, “hopefully no need to wait till 3pm”. She said it was uncertain, even though checkout time is 12noon. Around 1.55pm, we went back to ask about checking in, and David said the room was ready. Nobody at the front desk had thought to let us know while we waited 🤦♂️.
