It’s a quiet spot surrounded by greenery, which I liked. The room felt a bit too humid, and I expected the bathroom to be cleaner.

We’re French travelers and really appreciated how attentive and genuine the hostess was. Seeing the fireflies was wonderful. There isn’t much else to do around the house, but we recommend staying here.

The room was okay, though it had a slight smell. The setting is excellent and worth exploring: this former mine near Taipei is now a protected nature and wildlife recreation area. There are firefly conservation centers nearby, as well as a firefly library, and you can see signs of youth-led community development.

It’s a comfortable place to get away from the crowds, with lots of greenery and it doesn’t get too hot. Breakfast was filling, and the herbal tea made with local herbs tasted very fresh. The owner was attentive and caring. Ganoderma lucidum tea was good value, and they also had Ganoderma lucidum coffee to take home as a souvenir. I’ll definitely come back.
