What a terrible stay. The room smelled unpleasant the whole time, like cigarettes mixed with dampness, despite being booked as non-smoking. There were cigarette burns all over the room, and the bedsheet looked as if it hadn't been changed after the previous guest. On check-in we found a used toothbrush in the bathroom, dried rice on the unclean floor, and one of the two water bottles had already been opened and was only two-thirds full. We asked housekeeping to clean, but when we checked afterward, the floor still hadn't been cleaned. For such a high price, how is this hotel still surviving in Taipei? I've never stayed in a worse hotel, and this was such a bad trip that I don't even want to visit Taipei again. I would never come back.

The room was much more cramped than the spacious online photos suggested, and there was dust on the tabletop when I checked in. The furniture looked dated, the chairs were in poor shape, and the visibly dirty linens had tears in the sheets. For what they charged for one night, the accommodation quality didn't come close to the price. It just wasn't good value for money.

The rooms were clean, though very small, and the shower was especially hard to use for someone tall like me. The location was handy, close to an MRT stop, and staff were generally friendly and accommodating. I stayed for two weeks and most of it went pretty well, but at the end they turned down my request while doing the same thing for somebody else. That left a bit of a bad taste.

The place is right in the center of Banqiao, but inside it still felt quiet and relaxed. Every staff member had a sunny smile, and their friendly service really stayed with me. Wow, five-star service for such a low cost. Great, great!

The location is fairly near XinPu metro station, though some distance from Banqiao Station. The air conditioning wasn't good, there was only one electrical outlet, and there was nowhere in the bathroom to hang a towel or change clothes.
