Sofu Hotel

The room was very nice for a cheap price, and it was easy to get to, right along the highway. There was no AC or window, but the electric fan worked fine for us. It was super clean, especially the bathroom, and there was no cigarette smell. Thanks for the good service. I can promise we'll visit again.

We booked a spacious, clean place for 7 pax, close to the bus stop. The staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful. They replenished the water, towels, and toiletries every day. I'll definitely book here again! :)

It's good value for a short trip. The price was really cheap and the service was good, and there are restaurants, ubike, and the subway within walking distance. The rooms were a bit small, though, and mosquitoes bit us at night. Parking was also kind of hard to find.

For a budget stay, it's a good option if you just need somewhere cheap for the night. Don't expect the quality of a 4-star hotel that costs twice as much. I paid $80NT for a taxi from the MRT station, though it's about a ten-minute walk from Fuzhong MRT Station. The hotel is in front of a small park, with family and 7-Eleven convenience stores, Pxmart Supermarket, a few drugstores, and lots of restaurants nearby. You can request a discount for stays over 3 days, and check-out is at 12pm. The staff are kind and helpful, and my room was clean. The towels were a little old but clean. It came with tea, coffee, soap, shampoo, a toothbrush, razor, shower cap, cable TV, and free wi-fi. There's filtered hot and cold water from a hallway dispenser. A refrigerator is shared by all visitors in the storage room. I stayed 5 nights. The walls aren't fully soundproof, so you may hear hallway conversations or doors opening and closing, though it gets pretty quiet after midnight. Bring earplugs if noise bothers you. It's an upgrade from a hostel where you'd share bunks and a room with strangers. The cheapest, smallest rooms have no windows, the lighting is dim, and you can hear quiet sounds from other rooms and hallways. For about half the price of a hotel room around Taipei, I found it affordable.
