The shower floor felt a little sticky or oily and could use more attention during cleaning. Apart from that, the stay was comfortable and a good value for the price. A free massage chair on every other floor was a nice extra after a long day walking. The area gives you both easy access and a bit of quiet. A large department store is one block away, with a tidy food court and several sit-down restaurants, so there are quick bites and proper meals close by. The night market, with street vendors, small shops, and snack stalls, is about a 15-minute walk. If you drive, there’s limited parking in front of the building, which is helpful in this area. Check-in is through a self-service machine, but staff are available 24 hours. If you need help, knock on the door beside the machine, which is reassuring if you arrive late.

There’s no front desk, and the self-service check-in wasn’t clear. If you’re new to the city, figuring it out could turn into a pile of challenges, or just a waste of time. This kind of deception should not be allowed. It’s as unacceptable as a hotel room with no window. I went ahead and cancelled through Booking.com, but they didn’t let me explain or verify things on site. The penalty isn’t acceptable, and I’ll keep fighting it. The service felt deceptive, like buying a set of tires on eBay and finding one punctured.

This was my second stay, and I found the hotel nice and affordable again. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and you can watch your favorite shows on Netflix. Self check-in and checkout are very efficient. Staff are friendly and available if you need help. I highly recommend it if you need a place to stay in Taipei. Remember to bring your passport or NHI card for check-in.
