OFUCOS Diving Hostel

The hostel was newly furnished, clean, and warm, and the diving gear was new and professional. I had a wonderful, memorable three-day scuba course. The coach was professional and knowledgeable, but also friendly, caring, and funny. Great for new divers who want to get certified and have fun. 10 out of 10 🤙🏻🤿 P.S. 💁🏻‍♀️Highly recommend coach Ah-Hao!!

We saw so many fish and coral reefs without needing to go far. Most other excursions I looked at were at least 4 to 5 hours from Taipei. The dragon cove felt very safe because the waves didn't come in. Xiao Zhu was our snorkeling instructor and was patient with us, since we weren't all strong swimmers. He was kind, informative, and shared tips on places to visit and other things to do around northern Taiwan. We could rent equipment there, shower afterward, and didn't need to bring anything. The photos were included too, which was a great bonus and one less thing for us to worry about. I'd definitely return to try other activities and stay at the hostel.

The climbing trip was superbbbb!!! Our coach picked routes that fit our ability, then added some slightly challenging ones so we could test our limits. My partner and I already know lead climbing, so he took us on a rarer, higher route for the view. It was so, so, so awesome! Ofucos is also a great place to stay, with clean, cozy rooms and really nice, helpful staff. Sadly, the diving courses were canceled because the waves were dangerously big, so we didn't meet other customers. I'll surely come back if I have the chance. Thank you ofucos for a wonderful experience.

After the lesson, our instructor walked with us to the snorkeling spot, about 15-20 minutes away. That was helpful since we were new to snorkeling and didn't know the area. We had a great time with Ofucos today! A-Hao was friendly and explained everything well. He took photos so we could focus on snorkeling, though you can rent a GoPro from the shop if you'd like. 10/10 experience :)
