The couple who run the place are so kind. It had the cozy feeling of being at my grandparents’ house, and I really appreciated the heated mattress and snacks. I did find it a little dirty, though. At night there was a lot of activity inside the walls, and once it startled me awake. A bit more cleaning and someone checking what’s going on in the walls would make this a really nice place.

We really liked the traditional local feel of the place. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, and it wasn’t far from the night market. Just be ready for a bit of an uphill walk.

For the price, this is a really good stay. The mattresses are heated and comfortable, and they leave you some nice extras: milk tea, lemon tea, crackers, coffee, and water.

We were a bit concerned at first about the hostel being at the end of an old street, but the friendliness and enthusiasm at Linyuan village quickly put us at ease. Being in that spot also gave us a chance to explore more of the area. The FREE snacks in our room were a thoughtful touch, and the place felt welcoming and comforting, almost like visiting our grandparents’ house.

The owners are really sweet, and so is the place, but it could use a proper deep clean. Also, the shower water was ice cold in the morning. Not nice at all.
