Being right at Liyutan is a real plus. You can look out at the lake from the window, then walk or jog around it in the morning or afternoon. It’s a relaxing place, though there’s no convenient store nearby, so you have to drive into town to buy anything. Our room was spacious and tidy, with plenty of parking outside the hotel. The toilet felt a bit low, which could be inconvenient for older people, and the pillows were so stiff that we couldn’t fall asleep. I gave up on using mine. Dinner and breakfast were included in the price, and I thought the amount of food made it worthwhile. The water bamboo and pork knuckle were especially tasty. The sound insulation needs attention. Children can play badminton and table tennis outside the rooms, and we could hear the noise when we were trying to sleep. Even though it was the Chinese New Year holidays, I think guests should be asked to keep their voices down after 10 P.M. Otherwise, the insulation could be improved.

The lake is beautiful, and the staff are nice. The hotel itself feels quite old, though, and the food was just so-so.
