The lady boss, Zhou Yuqin, was so helpful and hospitable during our two-night stay on 30 Nov and 1 Dec 2018. We were eight Singaporeans in all. Three of us ran the Formosa Trail Run 16km, another three did 65km, and the other two stayed back for a comfortable sleep. The surroundings and atmosphere were beautiful, and breakfast was very nice, especially the porridge and soup. One of our 65km runners finished late at night, and Ms. Zhou personally went to pick her up. She even cooked hot vegetable soup to warm her tired heart. Her brother-in-law also arranged efficient transport both ways from where we stayed to the running venue, restaurants, night market and other places. 😍👏👍😁🙏 Chen Youzhou

I woke up after one night with an allergic reaction all over my body, so anyone with allergies should think carefully before staying. The room itself was fairly spacious and had hot water in the shower, but the TV cabinet was broken. Opening the wardrobe, I immediately saw mold. The internet was out, and I hadn't mentioned that it wasn't working.

The building's main structure looks lovely, but it doesn't feel designed for guests to stay in. The doors on the same type of room couldn't be locked with a padlock. Getting upstairs means climbing a shallow staircase, and late at night the faucet noise was really disturbing, along with the parrot's loud calls. Breakfast had some variety, though it was pretty basic. Go see for yourself if you don't believe it.

That breakfast buffet was a real bonus, and we had a very pleasant stay. Our room had an antique, classic look, and perhaps because we were a big group, we had some room to move around. There was karaoke that evening, plus a kitchen with barbecue facilities, though we didn't use either. Tea-making utensils were there too.
