Great for a family gathering, even with more than 30 people. The rooms were large and very clean, and the green grounds were lovely for walks and photos. Everyone, from the six-month-old to the 80-year-old, had a great time.

We held our 2025 company dinner here. There’s plenty of room, the scenery is lovely, and the place welcomes pets. It also has karaoke and a kitchen, among other features.

Our family of 35 managed to hold our gathering here in September 2024, even though the Mountain Family B&B was already booked through March 2025. The grounds are private and enclosed, with lots of landscaping, a tree house, slides and an outdoor karaoke bar. We spent about 18 hours relaxing there, and everyone is already asking about holding another family event here. The rooms were all spacious, and the bathrooms were huge, clean and new. The toiletries were organic brands. The grounds were clean too. As family organizers, though, we found the owner incredibly frustrating to reach. He rarely answered calls or replied on LINE, sometimes taking days. You really have to keep contacting him to arrange a visit or get answers, even though he’s usually away. During our stay only his uncle and an Indonesian domestic worker were there. He seemed very involved in everything while still being unaware of details such as the children’s bathtubs and stools, and it was hard to get answers about things like those. We ended up contacting his mother through her Youtian business in downtown Puli, and she kindly gave us his LINE number. Arita is worth asking about, and the owner’s mother may be able to help. The property has five buildings and a management office across about one hectare. The office is to the right of the main entrance, and check-in for a private booking is at 3 PM Saturday, with checkout at 11 AM Sunday. The fee in 2024 was NT$50,000. In the first building, the ground floor is a large restaurant with space for 23 tables, or up to 26, often used for wedding banquets. A small pool beside it is said to be popular with children in summer. Upstairs are a fitness room and double rooms 101, 102, 103 and 105. Rooms 102 and 103 are roomy and have private bathrooms; 105 can take an extra bed and has a wooden slide for families with children. Meals can be cooked in the restaurant, which has a large stove and professional kitchen equipment. The account also says foreign currency can be ordered through Youtian, whose staff arrange the exchange. The second building, called the living room, is linked to the first by a suspension bridge. The owner hands keys for the buildings to the property's staff there. Downstairs are a bar, kitchenette, large fridge, water dispenser under the kitchen, karaoke setup and a small room with an electric mahjong table. Upstairs are double rooms 201 and 202, plus a little sitting room off them that was so full of mosquitoes I didn’t see anyone stay there long. Buildings 3 and 4 are nearly joined. Building 3 has a laundry room and the domestic helper’s quarters on the first floor, which aren’t open to guests, and a four-person room, 301, upstairs. The owner dislikes the number 4, so the rooms in Building 4 are numbered starting with 3. On its ground floor, 302 sleeps six and has two bathrooms, while 303 is for two; they connect through retractable doors. Upstairs is another six-person room with one bathroom and a small balcony with a toilet. It’s thoughtful that someone can turn left outside the room to use that small toilet. Building 5 is a single-storey building built within the past two years. Its rooms 501 and 502 each sleep four; 501 can take an extra bed, and 502 has a small room with a small bed, handy for a family with a domestic worker. There are two karaoke rooms and a mahjong room, each with entertainment for groups of over ten. The outdoor karaoke speakers are better than those in the living room, but the outdoor setup closes at 8 PM, perhaps to avoid bothering neighbors. Room counts in the listing were seven doubles, 101, 102, 103, 105, 201, 202 and 303; three four-person rooms, 301, 501 and 502; and two rooms for adults, 302 and 305. Extra beds cost NT$800 each. Entry is after 3 PM, checkout before 11 AM the next day, and guests can stay in the park until noon after checkout. There are three large dogs: Dama is black and can be petted, with no biting; Tora is gray and can be petted, with no biting; Golden is golden, shouldn’t be petted and will bite. We first had trouble finding the place because Google’s map pin was about 50 meters from the entrance. We found the owner’s uncle there. The owner seems to be the elder brother in a family whose parents built a large business run by their brothers; his younger brother manages several businesses. His parents own Youtian in central Puli. After several calls to Youtian we reached his mother, who was kind and passed on the LINE contact. The owner was very hard to reach before booking too: I called the mobile number listed on Google more than ten times at different times, then called several times even after booking, without an answer.

You can see that a lot of thought went into the design, from the high-end building materials to the beautiful pool and garden. Having two karaoke rooms is a real plus too, since nobody has to compete for the microphone.

Our kids had a blast here 🥳. The place was spotless and beautiful, and the pool was clean and lovely. The four-person room we stayed in was the biggest we've ever had. Great spot for Instagram photos too.
