Star Villa Cingjing

The owners were so sweet and friendly, always looking after us and arranging rides to and from places. The room was spacious and clean, with stunning views. Their resident cat Kitty was adorable and would come over whenever she saw us. We had a great time at the stargazing session too, the starry night was beautiful. This is now my absolute favorite place to stay in Taiwan.

I only stayed one night and wish I'd booked longer. I arrived at 10 PM, but the front desk staff were patient and welcoming, so check-in was easy. The room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, with binoculars provided for stargazing. The sky at night was breathtaking. Breakfast in the morning felt like a comforting meal at a friend's home, and the hotel is close to Cingjing's main sights. I regret missing the sunset by arriving late. This hidden gem is well worth returning to, and I can't wait to stay longer.

Check carefully that the room you book actually has a mountain view. I chose the luxury room but was put in the building behind, looking at the building in front of it. That was extremely disappointing, especially since I later found out the front rooms are cheaper.

We had a relaxing, enjoyable stay at Star Villa. The room was spacious and clean, with a nice view, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. They dropped us at the bus stop when we left. Breakfast was decent. Thank you.
