It gets hot easily because the windows aren't insulated, so you need to run the air conditioning even on days that aren't hot. Outside noise comes through too. Even on the sixth floor, it feels like you're standing right beside the big road. I find it hard to understand why insulated windows seem unknown or unavailable in Taiwan when, in Europe, you can be on the first floor by a big road and hear almost nothing. It's very loud here.

The road noise was substantial at night because the property sits at a busy intersection. Reception has free ear plugs, but if you're a light sleeper, you can still hear traffic through them, so I wouldn't recommend staying here. Inside the building, soundproofing between rooms was great, and we didn't hear other guests. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious and well designed. The sofa was comfortable, the smart TV was huge, and we enjoyed staying in one evening to watch a film. The bed was massive, with comfortable pillows and bedding. Reception staff were attentive and spoke good English. They let us leave our bags there before check-in and after check-out, which helped a lot. Laundry is on the 5th floor, and reception lent us a steam iron. The rooftop terrace was a highlight, with plenty of seating for several groups and views across the city.

The terrace has a great view, and both it and the common area are lovely places to relax. I was really happy staying here and absolutely recommend it. I asked for an upper floor because I hoped to see the moon, but couldn't use the balcony because an emergency crane was there in case of a fire. I didn't mind too much, though it would be nice if that room's price reflected the unusable balcony, or if the crane could be moved away from the door opening.
