Beauty Trip Hotel

The location is good, the price average, and the room was clean. I booked a single-bed room but got a double, with a rule that I couldn’t touch the other bed. The AC smelled musty when switched on, though the smell eventually went away. Parking is tight for the number of rooms. It took me an hour to find somewhere else nearby to park.

I booked two double rooms for two nights. The bus stop right outside and all the food stalls nearby were handy. There’s a mid-size fruit stall downstairs that stays open quite late and seemed cheap to me. Shenji New Village is about a ten-minute walk for accessories, food, and clothes, with more going on at the weekend. You can get free water and coffee in the lobby, and Christinetart, a famous tart shop, is also within walking distance. The rooms had lots of TV channels, though switching between them was slow. A fridge, hair dryer, nice-smelling soap and shampoo, and a bidet hose were all useful. They also provided two bottles of water, two Alishan oolong tea bags, two UCC 3 in 1 coffee packets, and the other basic necessities. A few things bothered me. The rooms aren’t very soundproof, since I could hear someone showering next door at 1am and furniture being moved. The aircon gave off a bad smell when first turned on and when it automatically changed fan speed. The sink tap sits a little close to the basin, so water splashes back. The shower adjustment wouldn’t stay put until I held it and turned the water on. The pillow and bed were too soft for me, and I woke up aching. Still, it’s a good room for a 3 star hotel, and I’d recommend it if you’re not sensitive to noise.

I was here for a 3+4day quarantine stay. The room was just the right size for me, and they supplied simple toiletries and local mixed vegetable rice meals. The room price seemed a bit high compared with a quarantine hotel in Taoyuan. Special thanks to Miss Mai for looking after me during my stay. An extra star for her. 🙏🏻👍

The soundproofing was good, even though the hotel is on a busy road. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is prime, close to tourist attractions and public transport.
