Cityinn Hotel Plus - Taichung Station Branch

We paid around NTD 2,300 a night including breakfast, which felt like a steal. Breakfast was simple but decent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small but looked new and clean, with windows onto nearby buildings and the street. It also had a surprisingly roomy breakout area with a table, mini fridge and chair, plus bottled water and a small packet of doritos. Like the CityInn hotels we'd stayed at in Taipei, this one had four free washing machines and six dryers, available first come, first served. Coffee, hot chocolate and other drinks were provided too. It's close to Taichung Train station, malls and places to eat. My only minor complaint was the soundproofing: I could hear loud rushing water in the pipes when someone, I suspect in the room upstairs, showered. Still, we had a very good stay for that price.

Everything was good quality despite the affordable price, making this one of the best value hotels I've stayed in. Communication before arrival was excellent, check-in went well, and the room was very good. The free laundry service and breakfast were excellent too. Checkout was instant.

We wished we'd booked another night. The hotel was spotless, and everything worked well: hot water, air conditioning and comfortable beds. It's close to cafes and restaurants, and about a ten-minute walk from the station, if that. The staff were helpful, and it was handy to have a coffee machine, free washing machine and microwave available. Highly recommend.

There was plenty to watch on the TV, including YouTube and free VOD movies, and breakfast was included. The room was accommodating, with a bathtub in the bathroom, and the location was very convenient, close to the railway station. My only complaint was that the beds weren't very comfortable.
