DiveCube Hotel

I came just for diving, and the staff were really nice. The classes were fun, and our coach, Mr. Hsu, taught us well, with lots of detail and a great attitude toward keeping us safe. I’d definitely recommend beginners try scuba diving or freediving here. The water is around 30-32 C. My only complaint was how crowded it got. With the gear and fins on, I couldn’t move as freely as I wanted.

The single room was clean and comfortable, and not too small. The facility feels very safe, so it’s a great place to try new gear or practice skills. The hotel staff are nice, and the DMs are really nice and skillful too. The hotel itself is basic, though. The chair in my room was VERY uncomfortable, and at night I could hear hallway conversations and other noise. There’s no coffee around, just a tea bag in the room. A few suggestions: add a coffee pot in the common area at least, put a pen in the room, and provide one or two more racks for hanging clothes. More towels, or towels at the pool side, would help too. PLEASE REPLACE the chair. Even a cheap computer or office chair would be much better than that one.

The surroundings are pretty nice, and it’s clear they put a lot of effort into keeping things clean and the decorations current. I had a positive experience overall. It can get a little crowded even on weekdays, though, and the water is set quite warm, which makes it hard to dive for long.

The venue is a bit far from everything else, but there’s a family mart about five minutes away. I got hungry at night, haha. The rooms are clean, simple, and well designed, and I can definitely recommend the hotel and indoor dive centre. I took the freediving course with Coach Kevin, who was patient and professional while helping me work through my difficulty descending to depth. If you’re considering freediving as a course or for leisure, an indoor dive centre like this is worth considering. You can focus on pushing your personal best times and depths, rather than diving in choppy waves, though that can be a good challenge too.
