The price is very reasonable, and the location is easy to find with convenient access to the night market. Both receptionists were really friendly. The backpacker room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a shower and shampoo, and there's a small kitchen guests can use. You can buy a toothbrush there for NTD$10, and rent a towel for NTD$10. I'd definitely come back.

The WiFi was good, the tap water was drinkable, and TR station is within walking distance. Beds were comfortable, and the room and kitchen had a nice design, but the bathrooms were poor and unclean. There was black mold in the shower, and hair and dust on the bedroom, hallway and bathroom floors. I asked the staff to clean up the larger clumps of dust, but nothing was done. The listing says laundry facilities are available, but there aren't any on site. There's a public laundromat across the street, which worked fine. To me, this hostel oversells itself. It needs to improve the cleanliness, since other hostels at the same price are cleaner and include breakfast.

The location is great, and the counter staff were especially lovely. The rest of the facilities were average, though our stay wasn't a good one because the air conditioner broke and we couldn't sleep well.

The steel bunks don't creak whenever someone rolls over, which is a nice touch. The room and shower area were clean and quiet, and the kitchen was clean and well equipped. There's a 24-hour laundry across the intersection, plus a clean, cheap, delicious Taiwanese breakfast place just a few doors down on the right. It's also close to the bus stop on the Taiwan Buealevard, four stops from Taichung station.
