The breakfast buffet wasn't very good, so I'd skip it and eat elsewhere. Everything else made for a really comfortable stay: the rooms were roomy, with nice bathrooms and bathtubs, and they had plenty of things for babies and kids. Most of all, Angelina and the concierge team looked after us from the beginning right through to the end. Their service was impeccable and went above and beyond.

We barely had time to enjoy the hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious and luxurious, and being beside the main station made the location ideal. As part of the Marriott chain, it was convenient for foreign visitors, with international TV channels including Japanese ones. There’s both a Western buffet and a Taiwanese restaurant. We also tried the rooftop bar for appetizers and drinks. It seemed quiet, but the service was fantastic, so that didn’t bother us.

We spent the afternoon out after having the lunch buffet, and the hotel is right among the attractions near Taichung train station, which is why we chose it. From our high room we had a great view and watched trains pass all day. The room itself was nice, with a big tub and strong, hot water to warm up in. We also checked out the lounge 24 upstairs, which was cool. We loved the place and will come back now and then.

Johnson, the lifeguard, was so attentive and friendly that I felt comfortable throughout my visit. The rooftop pool itself is amazing, with a stunning city view, and the facilities are top-notch. Highly recommended!

PANO 24 on the roof felt out of place. The atmosphere wasn't right, and it didn't feel like part of the hotel. Apart from that, everything was good from check-in to check-out. The room was spacious and soundproofed, the staff and concierge were good, and the fitness centre with sauna was lovely. It's also near plenty of attractions and good food.
