The Sun Hot Spring & Resort

There are lovely walks nearby with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, and the hot spring jets were the best we’ve experienced so far. My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Barker was especially helpful when we arrived, finding a room that suited us as an older couple, and Eric helped us at the end of the stay. Breakfast was great, and the staff were all so helpful.

I came away feeling very relaxed after several intense travel days. I go to saunas often, but Long Nice Hot Springs seemed to help my skin recover and restore my energy. I paid 400 NTD, though I’ve heard it can cost less. That got me a basket of goodies and access to both the public and private hot springs. I liked the outdoor area and its scenery, but preferred the indoors for more privacy and because it was less occupied. It was a quiet, restful visit, though a long commute from Taipei for a day in the Taichung area. Bring a bathing suit if you want to use the outdoor springs. As it happened, the next day in Taipei was hot and sunny after the previous days had been pleasant but rainy and damp.

The included buffet dinner had a good selection and tasted great, and the room was clean and spacious. What made the stay wonderful, though, was the service. Assistant manager Barker Wang checked us in and was meticulous, patient with all our questions, and really focused on making guests feel welcome. I overslept and was late for dinner, but he actually called to remind me and even offered to change our reservation time. He’s the kind of staff member you hope to meet on vacation. Keep up the good work.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hot springs were relaxing with scenic views. I had an amazing stay. The rooms were clean, cozy, and beautifully designed, making it a perfect peaceful getaway. Highly recommend!
