The Tango TaiChung

My room was clean and spacious, and I was upgraded to one with a washing machine. There are lots of places to eat nearby and a Carrefour hypermarket. The staff were friendly and even asked at check-in if they could help book our return transport. My colleague chose the breakfast package, but the selection was limited, so they ended up joining me at a nice breakfast shop nearby. I prefer eating out in Taiwan, which is a foodie paradise.

I’ve stayed at Tango many times over the past nine years, and the staff and facilities are still quite good. The Wi-Fi in both the lobby and rooms, though, has been nearly useless for about the past year. It’s very slow, unlike how it was years ago. I think the hotel needs to make another effort to update things.

The gym was above average for a hotel and easily good enough for a workout. There were also washing machines, computers, and a massage chair on the gym floor. The facilities were great and the room was nice. I stayed two nights and will definitely stay again, though the Wi-Fi could’ve been better.

The Tango Taichung was lovely overall, and we’d definitely come back. We stayed from 20/12 to 24/12, and the modern, spacious, clean room worked well for our family of four. All the staff were polite and friendly. One inconvenience was that the key cards kept failing, so we had to get them replaced at reception every day. They fixed the issue and gave us an apology gift when we checked out. It was a surprisingly nice gesture.
