The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped, but the windows let in noise and the shower mold needs maintenance. It felt a bit overpriced for what you get. It’s within walking distance of a world heritage fort, though remote from the city. The morning guy at the lunch restaurant was super friendly and helpful. The food was average but okay. Breakfast had few healthy Western choices, and they’d already run out of yogurt by 9.30 am. At reception there was no welcome or goodbye, and the women there were unwelcoming, unfriendly, and unhelpful. As a gold member, I was offered a lucky draw. Seriously? They said they were fully booked, so no upgrade was available, though the day before they’d offered me a paid upgrade. Maybe they really were full, but I’m not sure what my status is worth.

We went up to the rooftopbar for the amazing ocean view and sunset. The buses were a little hard to catch since it’s on the edge of the city.

They don’t honor Marriott status here. I’m ambassador elite, yet they wouldn’t even put me on a high floor. Don’t bother coming.

I’ve stayed here a few times already and would come back. It’s quiet and peaceful at night, and from a high floor you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. The bed was very comfortable, and check-in and checkout at the front desk were quick. There’s complimentary parking in the garage, including an EV charging station. The hotel is close to the beach and harbor, but far from the city, and even the nearest 7-11 isn’t close by. Bathtubs are only in some selected rooms.
