We got a breakfast coupon for Q Burgers nearby instead of a buffet. The food was decent, though I would’ve preferred the wider choice a buffet offers. Aside from that, the hotel was comfortable, with clean rooms, a couch, a great view, friendly service, and a quick check-in. It isn’t very modern. The location made the stay easy. There’s a small mall, an MRT station, and a lively night market a short walk away, with shopping, quick transport, and local snacks close by. I’d recommend it as a comfortable, budget-friendly base for exploring the area.

The staff were friendly, and the simple breakfast turned out to be surprisingly good. Rooms are very spacious, though the furnishings look a little old and outdated. Hot water and water pressure were both very good. Not bad overall.

We got a clean room, apart from the bathroom exhaust, and some staff spoke English. When our Chinese ran out, they were happy to switch languages. The hotel is near the MRT and waterfront, with restaurants across the road and a small night market closer to the station. The room was poorly insulated, especially around the floor-to-ceiling glass balcony door. We tried the AC, but its controls didn’t seem to change the temperature, and the vent draft made the room feel colder, so we turned it off. The hotel had no portable heater. The front desk mainly suggested keeping the AC off. On Dec. 31st, possibly the coldest night of the year, we got extra blankets from housekeeping and slept in our outerwear.

The room was larger than I expected, parking was available, and the service was good. Breakfast was decent too. For the price, it felt reasonable, and the train station was an easy walk away.
