Art'otel Ximending Taipei

The bed was very comfortable, and the friendly, polite staff and great part of town helped make up for some real comfort issues. The room has polished concrete floors, white walls, and feels a bit like a posh prison. There’s nowhere to put clothes besides a few hangers, and the lights are dazzlingly bright with only on or off settings. Some dimmable bedside lamps and better storage would help. It’s a very minimalist concept room, but I wish the owner had gone further to make it comfortable. It’s called the Art'otel, but sadly there’s no art. You do get complimentary gym membership, too.

The gym was way above what I expected, thank you! The hotel is right in the middle of the action, and although the rooms are small, they were clean. Service was efficient, and the woman at the counter was warm and polite. I had a wonderful stay and would come back if I’m in town again.

The Sealy bed gave me a few nights of seriously good sleep, and the host bunny is so cute. Staff greet you warmly as soon as you walk in. The room has Netflix and AirPlay, which was totally shiokness. Laundry is 200ntd, and you can head out while the hotel takes care of it.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfy, and that refreshing shower was very welcome after a long day sweating around the city. I loved my three nights at Art'otel. The staff were kind and wonderful, always greeting you or wishing you a good day, keeping an eye on your water in the summer heat, and sharing tips for local attractions and transport.
