Chyuan Du Spring Resort

We booked a twin room for our family of three, but on arrival the hotel said it would charge us for three people and couldn’t provide a third bed. We ended up paying an extra 2,000 TWD for nothing. When we discussed upgrading to a four bedroom, they changed the price three times. It seemed clear they were trying to scam us, and I feel this hotel scams foreigners. The room smelled bad and had mosquitoes everywhere. The staff were rude. Don’t go here.

My room was large and clean, with a huge comfortable bed, and the in-room bathtub with hot spring water was clean too. The hotel is right in the centre, and the staff were kind and spoke English. Breakfast was a typical buffet. I could hear pretty much everything from the room next door, so the soundproofing needs work. It looks a little dated, but I enjoyed my stay overall.

The room was large and had a private onsen. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the MRT, with eateries and convenience shops within walking distance. I’d go back.

The location is convenient, with a supermarket downstairs and places to eat around the corner. Having hot spring water in the room was nice. I stayed in room 239 and could hear tables and chairs being dragged around, then realized the restaurant was above me. I’d avoid rooms 237 onwards, especially the rooms at the end of the corridor on level 2.
