Holiday Inn Express Taipei Train Station by IHG

Nancy was very accommodating at breakfast and happy to prepare vegan dishes when possible, although the buffet had a decent range overall and few vegan choices. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. The price felt fair for the rooms, amenities, and location. Our corner room had no window view because it was the only option during the busy Chinese New Year period. It was small, cozy, clean, and quiet, with enough light in the main area. The bed was very comfortable, with four pillows and soft, clean linens. There was a small couch, a desk and vanity, and a closet with hangers, though storage was limited and there were no drawers or shelves to unpack into. Wi-Fi and AC worked well. The bathroom had a walk-in shower with good pressure, was clean, and came with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Other basics included tea, a kettle, cups, instant coffee, tea bags, bottled water, a small fridge, an iron and ironing board, a safe, and a smart TV. There were several power outlets, plus a USB-C port on each side of the bed and more outlets by the desk. It's an older renovated building, but the room didn't feel dated. The hotel is handy for shopping, landmarks, restaurants, and the MRT, and was comfortable for a short stay near tourist attractions and shops.
