Getting around was easy, with public transport, restaurants, and attractions nearby. The staff were helpful throughout, especially Lisa, whose kindness and assistance made the stay nicer. The room was roomier than I expected, with space to open several suitcases without feeling cramped. Hot showers had steady pressure, and the clean linens and sheets made it comfortable. Good value and a practical choice for a Taipei visit.
The front desk service was great. They replied quickly when we asked for a steamer, and free bottled water is available at the desk. The room was average-sized and the bed comfortable, though the toilet looks dated and shows its age. It’s a lively spot for shops, food, and bubble tea, near Xi Men Ding and Taipei train station. In December, we could walk 15-20 minutes to the places we wanted to see, including Zhong Shan Shopping District and Dihua Old Street.
The room was the letdown. It smelled very musty, which isn’t good for asthmatics, the shower wall was in really bad condition, and we saw cockroaches. The staff, on the other hand, were superb, friendly, and helpful. Free water and coffee are available all day, and there are lots of stores nearby. Great location and service, but the room conditions are unacceptable.
The staff at reception were warm, polite, and happy to answer questions. It’s a small hotel, but adequately equipped, with clean, comfortable rooms. Free drinks are available daily with a voucher from the counter, and you can ask the lobby crew for coffee. There’s no breakfast, though food is easy to find all around. It’s also called JUST LIVE INN TAIPEI MAIN STATION (unit no 4). From inside MIAN TAIPEI STATION it takes about 10 minutes on foot, and a little longer if you’re coming out of the station, since you need to find the right exit. Once outside, there are plenty of food, shopping, and sightseeing options. There’s a tasty steamed bun shop two shops to the left, and XIMENDING is about a 15-minute walk down the road. Self-service laundry is upstairs for a small washing capsule fee. Be ready to wait, though, as there are only 2 machines for washing and drying.
I stayed in May 2023 and really liked the clean, nice room, especially the big windows, comfy pillow, and great tub. Taipei main station is just two streets away, so it’s super convenient for getting around. There’s also a quiet, laid-back pub on the 7th floor. The cocktail was awesome, give it a try. Guests get one free drink a day.
