The building is old but well maintained, and the owners were very friendly and patiently gave me all the information I needed. The location is convenient: about a ten-minute walk to the MRT, railway, and HSR station, with a bus stop right outside the hostel. I’d definitely visit again.

Thank you, Carroll, for letting me leave my bag here overnight and helping with plenty of other things. I’d recommend this place to anyone traveling to Taiwan. The owners are the kind of people you hope to work with. They’re clean, caring, and kind, and their hospitality and willingness to help show throughout the place. They lead by example and lovingly keep everything very clean. Read the signs they’ve put up, they’re there to help everyone.

The showers have a great seal, and the service was phenomenal. Carol and her husband were so kind to let my brother change his reservation after 11am. Their hospitality was amazing.

The owner even arranged a visit to the town hall building, and the staff were very attentive. The subway is a short walk away, and the airport bus is closer. Just remember to buy your ticket at a nearby office, not on the bus. It’s a nice hostel in a traditional old house, organized and clean.

The staff were so amazing that I decided to stay a second time just before leaving Taiwan. Mayrooms was a blessing, close to food, tourist spots, fun, and pretty much anything you can think of. I’d absolutely recommend it and would invite friends and family. I got to spend my birthday with my new family at Mayrooms, which was a lovely bonus.
