Mellow Fields Hotel

Tienmu made getting around easy, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and major bus routes that connect to MRT stations. The hotel was quiet and really comfortable, and it had all the essentials we needed, though the room itself was small. Breakfast was free and served buffet style, with excellent Western and Asian choices. There's a gym in the basement, but its hours didn't work well for evening exercise. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Taipei.

They say the facilities are available, but you can't use them when you want. The gym is only open from 3 to 8 pm.

There are lots of places to eat and supermarkets close by, which made the location really convenient. My room was spacious enough for the price, clean and pleasant, with a big, comfortable bed for one person. The bathroom was clean too, with a hair dryer, soap, body wash, shampoo and other amenities. Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices. The one drawback was how easily sound carried through the very thin walls. Still, it was a comfortable hotel for the money.

There's an area where you can shop for local produce and food, and breakfast, while not offering a huge variety, was fresh and good for the reasonable room price. The hotel layout is spacious, and my room was clean and nice. The floor in my room was peeling in places, though, and that should be fixed before it affects guests' impression of the place. Room rates are very reasonable.
