Breakfast was commendable, and the staff were courteous. The room was small but spotless, with the amenities I needed and a very comfortable bed. The heated toilet seat was a nice bonus.

The location is convenient, but that's the only good thing I can say. The room was disgusting, with fungus, mold and water damage, hair left by previous guests, and pee stains. Are you kidding me? Don't stay here.

The breakfast was superb, and getting around northern Taipei was very convenient. The hotel is a bit far from the main station, though. Our room was small but cleverly laid out, making practical use of every inch, and the staff were very helpful. It was good and comfortable.

There’s a small gym and a lovely balcony on the top floor, with fantastic views when the weather cooperates. Breakfast was more like brunch, wow. The room was nicely planned, and I really appreciated the Japanese toilette and the strong shower pressure. They also provided good quality shampoo and shower gel, a tooth kit, a razor, and more.

I usually stick with Marriott because I’m a Marriott member, but RJ turned out to be a hidden gem. I had a thoroughly enjoyable weeklong stay and would highly recommend it. The room was just right for me as a solo traveler, thoughtfully designed, and in immaculate condition. Everyone was helpful and friendly, from the front desk and kitchen staff to the housekeeper.
