The bedding was stained and clearly past its useful life, and I killed ten cockroaches during my 11-day stay. I also had to correct the location on the map. The bathroom felt dangerous: after a shower the washing machine sat in standing water, so make sure to unplug it first. The AC barely kept the room cool, and I had to use a fan most of the time. They provided one towel and never changed it for the whole stay. I won't stay here again.

The location is excellent, but this is a hostel, not an apartment. I stayed here two years ago and nothing has improved. They removed the wardrobe but still advertise it, and there is hardly any drawer space, so you end up living out of your suitcase.

East Metro Mall is handy for cheap little knickknacks, and there are plenty of restaurants, food stalls, and convenience stores within about a five-minute walk. The MRT and both Sogo Zhongxiao and Sogo Fuxing are close by, along with 24-hour shops like Wellcome and Watson.

The room seemed decent, with good bathroom water pressure and ventilation that cleared quickly. I liked that they changed the towels and emptied the trash every day. There’s no sunlight, so it’s hard to know the time, and hallway noise carries in, though the rooms themselves seem well soundproofed.

There are lots of good places to eat outside, and having a washing machine was a real plus. The sheets and blankets didn’t look new, but I was satisfied overall.
