Taipei Fullerton East

The room on the 11th floor was spacious, quiet, and exceptionally clean. My wife is very particular about cleanliness and was especially impressed by how pristine the bedsheets were. We enjoyed our two-night stay at this boutique property in November 2025, though I don't remember exactly why I chose it in the first place. The location near the MRT was excellent, and Taiwan Ubike made getting around especially convenient. Every place we planned to visit on our two-day trip was within an easy 30-minute ride. The complimentary breakfast was flavorful and satisfying, with prompt service. A couple of things could be better: Wi-Fi consistently tested below 20 Mbps for both uploads and downloads. Better lighting at the main entrance and spotless glass panels would also improve the first impression. We had a delightful stay that exceeded expectations and will definitely come back for many more nights.

Our room 505 had three beds, and there was a noise at night like popcorn popping right beside the bed. We were so tired that we didn't tell the staff at first, and played white noise on our phone for the rest of the stay. On our last night we worked out it was water dripping from the AC onto the tarp right outside the window. When we mentioned it, staff said nobody had complained before. The single elevator was slow too, so we had to wait during busy times. The bathroom had two bottles of shampoo and one body wash, but no conditioner. When we asked if that was a mistake, they said they don't provide conditioner, which seemed really weird to us. We also spotted some mold-looking marks. Breakfast wasn't kid-friendly: my son only ate croissants. Reviews said it used to be buffet style, but we had bread and rice to serve ourselves and what seemed like a Japanese-style set that tasted very bland. We weren't fans. They did leave complimentary Pepsi in the fridge. Overall, we weren't impressed and probably won't return.

My room was cleaned and tidied each day during my 5D4N stay, and breakfast was provided. It was pleasant overall, and everything looked aesthetically pleasing. The location isn't the most central, but it's easy to find, along the same alley as the station exit between Taipei Arena and Nanjing Sanmin. I gave it four stars because the carpet outside the bathroom seemed a bit mouldy, which made me uncomfortable.

We ended up doing laundry at an outside laundromat, with no other choice. We booked this hotel mainly because Expedia said it had a washer and dryer. After checking in, we called the front desk and learned the dryer had been broken for a long time. They basically left it up to us whether to wash, which meant our clothes wouldn't dry, and it had been raining in Taipei all week. There was no apology or backup plan. It was ridiculous. The location is pretty good, but there's only one elevator, so we're always left waiting.
