The room's interior was quite nice, and around 4,000 RMB during Chinese New Year felt like a good deal for a cheap stay. Finding the restaurant tucked into an alley in the busy Ximen shopping district takes some effort. The owner thoughtfully provided photos to guide people, but you still need a bit of experience to locate it. The room had poor soundproofing, perhaps because ours was next to the laundry room. I didn't find the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom's hot water was only lukewarm. The drain also ran very slowly. I suggest the owner fix it. Room number C04.

The room was spotless and came with a washing machine, dryer, and dehumidifier. For a group, this place is worth considering. The FamilyMart downstairs is relocating and being renovated. Its back alley is right across from Don Don Donki, where you can buy almost anything, so you don't need to worry about running short on food or forgetting something.

The sound carries terribly through the flimsy partition walls. From next door we could hear clapping, laughter, and people chatting, so getting any rest was impossible. You can record it or tap the walls to see how thin they are. I asked to change rooms to B02. Then there was the water. It came out brownish-red and splashed onto the sink. I didn't take a photo right away, but the color shocked me. It was awful. I have no idea what caused it. Maybe the water tank hadn't been cleaned, or maybe something terrible happened…?

The location is perfect for shopping and super convenient. I nearly missed the place, though, because it's inside a FamilyMart right next to UNIQLO. Finding such a clean, comfortable guesthouse in this old town was a nice surprise. The app rating is high, so I'm not sure why it isn't here. Thumbs up! 👍👍

Shopping is easy from here, with Don Quijote and Uniqlo nearby. The room was quite clean. The downsides are really poor soundproofing and no parking.
