The hotel is in a handy spot for convenience stores, Taiwanese food, and Japanese fast-food places. Ximending, National Taiwan Museum, and Taipei Main Station are all within walking distance, and from the station the airport is an easy one-train trip. They provide complimentary drinks, cookies, drip coffee, and tea. The design looks nice, but the room is dark. We had to open the windows in the morning for more light. There was only a small mirror and no luggage rack, which was inconvenient. The facilities were generally clean and the room was serviced daily, but the floor still looked dusty and had visible hair when you looked closely. One day we came back to find the bedding hadn’t been tucked in.

The hotel is next to a Starbucks, and it’s a 2-5 minute walk to 7-11, Family Mart, Cosmeds, Watsons, NETS, UNIQLO, and McDonald’s. Taipei MRT Train Station is about 10-15 minutes away on foot, depending on your pace. I was happy with my stay 😇 The room had a romantic, dim feel even with all the lights on, but I prefer a bright room. They gave me complimentary drinks and topped them up daily. Housekeeping cleaned the room each day during my three-night stay. The toilet seat had a heating function, and you could choose the bidet wash setting. The flush wasn’t very strong, so after a bowel movement I’d recommend flushing a few times. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap smelled nice 👍

I picked this hotel because it’s near Z4 exit, which has an elevator, of Z Underground in the Station Front Mall at Taipei Main Station. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were fairly standard, with Japanese bidets, good water temperature and pressure, and comfortable room temperature. They were also clean, quiet, and comfortable. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were great. I later saw the Cha Tzu Tang brand at Taoyuan Airport, and it wasn’t cheap. I booked three rooms for our group of seven, including seniors. The bathroom was small and oddly laid out, with an enclosed shower on the left, a sink in the middle, and an enclosed toilet on the right. The sink area was open to the room. There was nowhere to hang clothes or even a towel inside the shower, so you had to step out to the sink area to get dressed. It was inconvenient for our group. There’s only one elevator, and its weight capacity is very small, which was a hassle at checkout. I know Taipei has a policy about one-time-use toiletries and have visited several times since it was introduced, but this was the first hotel I’d stayed at there without free slippers in the room. You have to bring your own or buy a pair at the front desk for 20 NTD. Beforehand, I emailed to ask if they could keep our bags overnight before check-in while we went to Alishan. They said they didn’t have space for overnight storage. They did keep our luggage for two hours after checkout.

The location was fantastic, just minutes from Taipei Main Station. It made getting to the hotel after our flight easy, and the station was a useful hub for trips to other districts. Taipei 101 and the Maokong Gondola were both an easy MRT ride away. When we arrived around 11 AM, the staff kindly stored our luggage while we went out to enjoy Taiwan. Everyone we met, including the cleaning staff, was friendly and helpful. Our stay at The Blue was mostly positive. The room was nice overall, and the shower was great. We liked the shampoo and conditioner too, which made our hair feel thicker. The toilet area was cramped, which could be difficult for a larger person. It was cold in the room, and there was no heating. Ours was set to 18 Celsius, so we had to sleep in layers. We also noticed stains on the bathroom counter that hadn’t been fully cleaned. The walls were thin, and we could hear loud neighbors shouting at each other. The hotel was functional and very convenient. There’s a water cooler in the lobby. Thanks for a good stay!

The room had a strong musty smell that made it hard to breathe, and I had to wear a mask to sleep. The bathroom layout was strange, and the hotel’s location was excellent for getting around. The front desk staff looked very young and seemed quite indifferent. I arrived early in the morning after a flight of more than 10 hours. I knew I couldn’t check in yet, so I went to leave my luggage and casually asked whether early check-in might be possible if the room was cleaned sooner. They told me it would cost 400 NTD per hour. I’ve stayed in countless hotels across more than 40 countries, and had never heard that answer before. I decided I wouldn’t stay here again and immediately canceled my reservation for another six nights in January.
