The Place Taipei

The area is quiet and peaceful, which I find more relaxing than staying near Taipei Main Station, while still being close enough to Taipei. Nangang has HSR, TRA, and MRT connections, making it easy to get around. The hotel works well as a base for trips to Jiufen or Keelung, and there are large malls nearby. Standard rooms are small but thoughtfully designed and very clean. Staff aren’t especially enthusiastic, but they’re consistently polite and professional. Breakfast has a limited selection, though it’s enough, and the menu changes each day. I’d be happy to stay again.

We stayed one night with our family and found the hotel family friendly. They provided a baby bed, a bottle steam steriliser, and a bath, which were really useful. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was modern, clean, and everything worked. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and I really enjoyed the stay. The housekeeper even folded our clothes, which was so kind and completely unexpected. One confusing moment at arrival: the lobby and reception are on the 10th floor, and from the taxi drop-off I couldn’t see the desk. For a second I thought I’d walked into a mattress shop. If Uber isn’t working, try Bolt.

Getting around was easy, with public transport nearby and a shopping mall close by. The staff were professional and helpful, and the facilities felt comfortable and modern. Breakfast was tasty, with a reasonable range of choices, and the amenities were excellent.
