We chose it for the coast, local park and nature reserve, though that meant walking a bit to reach local amenities. The staff were really friendly and arranged a local massage booking, with pickup included. We were cycling around the island and were able to keep our bikes in the room. There’s also a laundry on site, which came in handy. Breakfast leaned more toward traditional Chinese food than international options. The dishes could have been a little hotter, but they were OK.

The rooms are very spacious, the shower is excellent, and the views of the mountains and sea are lovely. For cyclists, the hotel offered to keep our bikes in the business center, which is visible from reception and locked at night. The cycle route passes right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was easy to recommend, with plenty of choices from light to filling and lots of fresh fruit. There are no Western options. The buffet is laid out well for crowds, and there are enough tables even at peak times. It’s affordable and works for a short stay, especially if you’re touring Taiwan by bike, but sleep was poor for us. The mattresses were comically hard, the air conditioning was loud, and there were loads of light sources that couldn’t be blocked.

The room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a hard time sleeping because the mattress was uncomfortable. The AC controller was very bright, with no way to turn off its light, which could bother anyone who likes a dark room. The coffee could be better too.

I contacted Agoda by phone and email within 15 minutes of a booking error to ask them to cancel it. While I was trying to book for April, the website dropped my selected dates and reserved the same night instead. I understand there was no availability in April, and that's fine, but keeping my money without a refund feels like theft. This kind of business practice makes me reluctant to trust you with anything else, and I'd warn others to be very careful with this hotel.
