Tao Yuan Golf & Country Club Yaward Resort

This is just my own experience of the golf course. It had rained the day before, and the course was extremely muddy. The course itself was pretty short, and I wasn't playing my best partly because I didn't want mud splashing all over me. Muddy rough is understandable, but why was the fairway wet and muddy too? Not worth the money. For a few dollars more, you can play at a higher-tier course.

The course design is quite good, which makes the poor management especially unfortunate. They overbook tee times, so we waited an hour to start the back nine. We teed off at 5:40am, expecting an early start to mean a quick round, but it still took six hours. Even on the front nine, we had to wait for the group ahead before every shot.

We stayed in the glamping area, which has 1950s caravans fitted with modern conveniences like Japanese toilets, AC, and smart TVs. The site was fairly clean and had a good family atmosphere. Some of the lights and rides were broken, but when we told the staff, they said they'd fix them.

The staff were polite, and the food was average. The newer wings, which have two storages, are better than the old wings, where the rooms are old. There's a large green golf area, but guests aren't allowed to walk there, not even on the asphalt or after golf hours. The glamping area is run separately and set up for people with young kids, with lots of games for children under 7. For regular guests, the pool is small, dirty, and overcrowded, so don't be fooled by the pictures. I wouldn't suggest spending time here unless you're aiming for a golf-only weekend.
