Wushih Surf Hostel

I’d happily stay here again. It’s right on the beach, the owners make it easy to rent surf gear, and there’s a lovely little surf community with lots of other fun things to do and see. My only gripe was that not many restaurants were open at the times you’d want them, especially morning and night.

I liked it so much here that I stayed an extra night. The place is really chill, the room was simple and comfortable, and the area was calm. The people were so kind that I want to come back soon. I arrived in Yilan at the end of October hoping to surf before another typhoon came. I’d gone surfing and showed up without a reservation, but the boss lady and owner were very nice. They let me pick my room, and I chose the blue room. I was starving after surfing, and they helped order a lunch box before the place closed. Most of my cash was in Taipei, so they lent me a bike to get to the ATM while I waited for the food. The boss lady was helpful the whole time, recommending a great place in town for a massage and offering to arrange a taxi. I managed to get one through Uber. When I left, they helped me check the train schedule back to Taipei and even drove me to the station.

A really nice little B&B near the beach. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, and the room had everything I needed. The bed was especially comfortable, and it was easy to rent a surfboard there.

We’ve only been at Wushih Surf Hostel for about half a day, and I can already tell it’s a 5/5. The owners are nice, service is great, and the rooms are tidy. They’ve got boards, a rooftop, direct access to the surf spot, and surf skates, too. Looking forward to the rest of our stay ✌🏻
