The front desk was accommodating with my wife's handicap, and the hotel itself was decent, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning worked well, and the design was interesting. The staff seemed limited, though, and no one was there when we checked out in the morning, so we just left. A huge roach greeted us when we first checked in, but we didn't see another one after that. The balcony door was almost unusable, and there was no towel rack by the sink. Even from the third floor the view wasn't much unless you stood on the balcony. The fourth floor might have an ocean view. The location is pretty remote, and I'm not sure there's anything within walking distance, so you'll need a car or scooter. Parking is somewhat limited too.

The breakfast area was a peaceful spot to sit and unwind, and our room was great. The staff clearly enjoy their work and were dedicated to making our two-day stay a good one. Thanks for all the helpful tips. You can have a lovely hotel, but it's the staff who made this a fun experience for us. We'd definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our three nights here. It's a straightforward B&B in a fun house shaped like a ship, and the hosts' excellent service and eagerness to help are what earned it our top rating.

We knew the B&B was in a small village outside Linbian when we booked, so the location wasn't an issue. What we hadn't expected was how much the staff would help, including taking us to and from the ferry in Donggang and taking us to the train station. They also arranged bicycles for us at 100TWD each per day and made sure we had water for the ride. We rode all over, to the bridge, wetland parks, dikes, the next village, temples, WWII bunkers, and around the bay. The bike paths were good, and the roads had hardly any traffic. The staff were tremendous and very helpful, and most spoke English. The place is well managed, with coffee, tea, and cookies always available by the desk. The room was large and bright, with a balcony and sitting area. There was no water in the refrigerator, but hot and cold water was available on the stair landing. It's an unusual, neat place, designed and built like a ship, and it really feels like being aboard one. A great find, and a welcome change from the usual small city hotel and its noise.
