The common spaces were great, with a TV, guitar, and plenty of comfortable places to sit, and it's bike-friendly too. The owner was so kind when I nearly missed my ferry to Liu Qiu Island. She drove me to the pier so I could catch it. Really nice hostel.

I stay in hostels a lot, and “The Way Hostel & Bar” was a great stop. It's in a handy spot near attractions, the facilities were clean, and the host was amazing. Good vibes all around, with what you need while traveling in Southern Taiwan. I'd recommend it.

In a small village like Donggang, that welcoming, home-like feeling can really change a trip. Sofie and the young people of the way make " THE WAY" feel special, and they offer bilingual help with local culture and places to visit, plus bicycle rentals and transport arrangements. I picked it partly because it has a bar with a great selection, and there's also a bookshop where you can spend some time. For a hostel, it offers a lot: shower gel, shampoo, and laundry facilities too. First visit for me, but I'll definitely be back. Cheers to everyone at The Way for making it feel like home. You did a great job!

For 550NTD a night, this is an affordable hostel near Dapeng Bay. The assistants were helpful and nice, and both the rooms and bathroom were clean. The one thing I didn't like was having to pay to use the bicycles.

I haven't stayed at the hostel, so I can't say anything about the beds. The bar, though, is a lovely little place, nicely designed and cosy, with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. A real gem in the middle of nowhere.
