The oceanfront location worked beautifully for us, and the views from the patio were spectacular. We had a car, so being a bit outside Haulien was fine, and Taroko gorge was close enough to reach quickly. Without a car, this might not be a convenient place to stay. There were few restaurants open when we went looking for food, so we drove to Haulien. It felt like staying in a residential area outside the city. My wife, son, and I spent two nights here while visiting Taroko Gorge. Mr. Wu / Johnny and his wife were fantastic hosts, doing everything they could to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The house was impeccably clean, and the accommodations felt like home. The earthquake hit on our last morning, which was scary. Mr. Wu and his wife stayed calm throughout and helped us feel comfortable. Their house didn’t seem to suffer any damage, and through the third window we could clearly see dust from landslides in the mountains. Once things are back to normal in Haulien and Taroko gorge is accessible again, I definitely recommend staying here.

Johnny made this bed and breakfast especially memorable. He was quick to answer questions before we arrived, then helped a lot with planning outings and anything else during our stay. The house is kept impeccably clean. It’s in a rather rural town, but the ocean view and falling asleep to the waves more than make up for that. I’ll always remember Johnny’s kindness and warm hospitality.

Mr Wu was such a great host, and even offered to drive us into town a few times. Our room was very clean and well supplied, and breakfast was good. We really enjoyed the stay and will come back next time we visit 😊👍

The owner was kind and helpful, and offered to cook a delicious Asian-style meal if you ask. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and cozy. Five stars don’t feel like enough. Thanks for a lovely time. Go see for yourself.

The boss was lovely with the kids and helped us with any requests, as well as making us a delicious breakfast. Our room was big and had an excellent sea view. I’d suggest staying at least two nights so you can really relax.
