Hu An-The Lakeside House

We had a great time here. It was an easy walk to 7-11 and the many places renting bikes, and our two-hour ride was wonderful. The owners were very welcoming, and the place was clean and spacious. There was plenty of parking, plus a water dispenser right outside our room. There isn't a lift. We only had one bag to carry up a single flight, so it was manageable, but stairs might be a problem for older guests.

The neighborhood doesn't have many good restaurants, so keep that in mind. Still, the hotel is under a ten-minute walk from both the bus station and the lake, and it's a solid choice for a visit to this tourist spot. It's a small family business with a really helpful, friendly host who knows the area well, so ask them for suggestions. Our room was roomy, thoughtfully equipped and maintained, and very clean. I'd give cleanliness five stars.

Breakfast was lovely, and the price was very affordable for a place with such polished decor and amenities. The staff were friendly, and everything was super clean. This was our favorite stay on our trip through Japan and Taiwan. They even arranged an early check-in so we could rent bikes and ride around sun moon lake.

The breakfast was really tasty. I also appreciated that the hosts made it clear they could help if I needed anything, while giving me space. My room was nicely designed, quiet, and comfortable, and I enjoyed my two-night stay.
