Sun Moon Lake Secret Garden Villa

We loved our time at this homestay! Five stars 🥰 If you’re a tourist, I’d really recommend renting or driving!

We only stayed one night, but seeing our room made us wish we could have stayed longer. It was huge and quiet, with a vacation feel, lovely plants around it, and a direct view from the windows to the tea farm. The whole villa felt warm and cozy as soon as we arrived. It’s affordable for the quality, and one of the best stays around Sun Moon Lake. The place is beautifully decorated with flowers, plants, and neat art, and the entire villa was hand-built. The hosts thought of so many little things for the room: face masks, robes, Taiwan beers, snacks, coffee, Sun Moon Lake teas, and slippers. Breakfast the next day was over-the-top delicious too. It feels a bit like Bali island. The drive to the Sun Moon Lake area takes around 10-15 minutes, but local restaurants, street food, night markets, and convenience stores are all within a five-minute walk.

My mother and I were treated so warmly by the family who owns the villa and, if I may mention, built it. Their service left us with an impression that will be hard to forget. The architecture and design are brilliant too. With its Brazilian touch inside and Latin American feel, the villa brought to mind the tropics of South America and felt like a South American retreat. My mother and I recommend this accommodation as highly as we can. If you get the chance, it’s a privilege to stay in this garden design villa.
