Sun Moon Beauty

I felt the owners’ hospitality throughout the stay. Mr. Gao and his son were very welcoming. I’d contacted him directly while I was in the area and managed to get a room without using the platform. He carried my luggage upstairs, and his son pointed out an available car park, then offered me a scooter ride back to the lodging, about 200m away. The room was spacious and clean, with wifi. The owner also gave me tea as a gift. They sell Formosa Aboriginal Cultural Village tickets, and the adult ticket was cheaper than on KLook. Good value for the money, with the lake a short walk away and the small night market right at the doorstep.

The only letdown was the bad wifi. Otherwise, it’s an affordable hotel with spacious, clean rooms in a perfect spot, right on the main street opposite 7/11. The family who own it are incredibly friendly and always greet you as you come and go. Highly recommend it for a stay in sun moon lake.

The owner was really helpful. When he heard we had an 8am bus to Alishan, he offered to drive us in his own car to Shuishe bus stand. That hospitality meant a lot. The rooms were clean and nice, with hot water, good air conditioning, and fans. The hotel is in the middle of Ita Thao township, around 200 meters from the pier, bus stop, restaurants, and shops. Sun Moon ropeway is about a five-minute drive away.

Stinky tofu, mini tarts, and ice cream are sold right here, and they’re AMAZING. The staff are super friendly, service is excellent, and it’s great value for money. Just a one-minute walk to the pier. Highly recommended 😊
