The room was fine and about what I expected, and the staff came across as friendly and attentive. What let the stay down was the food. Both breakfast and dinner were buffets, but everything was cold from the start, covered in foil like at a barbecue. There wasn't much choice, and I didn't enjoy the taste either. I'd had much better cooking on Kilimanjaro before arriving. The water dispenser was full on day one, then empty the next day. Since food is such a big part of a hotel stay in this area, I can't recommend this place.

The garden was lovely, but the pool water didn't look appealing. The staff seemed careless, and we didn't get a single smile from them. After reading the earlier reviews, I wondered if we'd ended up at a different hotel. This was the one bad experience in our three weeks in Africa.

The people here are what I'll remember most. They were so kind and welcoming. We also loved the spacious, comfortable rooms, the tasty food, and the pretty garden with its pool and colorful birds. Moyoni Airport Lodge is close to the airport, and the peaceful setting and Kilimanjaro view make it a nice place to begin or finish a Tanzania trip. Asante Sana Moyoni Airport Lodge! ❣️

The garden and plants were nice, but this place was nowhere near worth $200 a night. The drive in was painfully slow because the road was so rough. Our room still had rubbish in the bin from the previous guests. On our last day we asked reception for change so we could tip the staff, but they didn't have any. After that, nobody helped us with our bags, and we had to carry them ourselves. There was a lizard in the room, but reception didn't answer when we called. Then they didn't even open the gate for our driver as we left. The only bad experience of our 18-day trip in Africa.

The room and bathroom were both clean, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom could use an update. Staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious and nicely balanced. Being so close to Kilimanjaro Airport was handy, and the free airport shuttle was a real plus.
